  1. Interesting. Although I’ve heard the recording many times I just assumed it was made on a wire recorder, which were not known for great dynamic range. So how was the correct playback speed determined?

  2. Rudolph Valentino? What did he sound like? There are only two known recordings of him, those are singing and he doesn’t have a high thin voice. Did you mean Rudy Vallee?
