Why do Palin and Bachmann have the same regional accent?

Well, there are different theories on this, and one is that there is a regional accent that runs from the great Lakes across central and western Canada and the norther Tier of the US. That’s my theory, and I think it is correct. Furthermore, I think this accent is the product of Native American and Euro-Immigrant interaction int he 19th century through the depression.

But that theory, as with many of my theories, gets the White Folks mad because it attributes a feature they hold dear to subaltren little brown people and they tend to find that annoying.

Now we have a new theory that is not in conflict with mine but is more detailed.:

“…The reason Bachmann and Palin share a regional accent: A government-relief program in the 1930s populated Palin’s home region in Alaska’s Mat-Su Valley with Minnesotans…”

I like this theory because it is annoying, like my theory, but for different reasons. Teabag-dunking-luving Bachmann and Palin share a trait that comes from their similar backgrounds as the products of government assistance programs. Or at least linked through such a program.

So, what I’d like to know now, to balance the Palin-Bachmann level of government support they can attribute their very existence to, is what portion of Bachmann’s income has been from the government over her lifetime. Now she works for the government. Before being in Congress she …. oh, she worked for the government. But before that job? Oh, she worked for the government. But what about when she was a stay at home mom back in the day? Well, actually, fostering several dozen children as she did, she was essentially working for the welfare department, wasn’t she?

Michele Bachmann’s Son is a Commie Pinko!

… or something. You will recall that Michele Bachmann has lambasted Americorps, the Bill Clinton Legacy program like the Peace Corps, as a political re-education camp in the service of the Liberal Left Wing. WEll, Harrison Bachmann, son of Michele, entered the program just a couple of weeks ago.

Elwyn Tinklenberg: “I Endorse Bachmann for Congress”

… Well, that is not really what the former Democratic opponent of Wackaloon Bachmann said, but he might as well have. As is being reported generally and nicely summarized on DMB, Tinklenberg, who will be running for Michele “The Congresswoman” Bachmann’s seat, has publicly announced that he will seek election even if he is not endorsed by the DFL.

Michele Bachmann Out-Foxed?

Hmmmm. If you listen to the Fox people … the details … they actually do a pretty good job of making Michele Bachmann look foolish. But they are very excited to have her on the show.

Here are the FOX digs that I noticed:

  • Isn’t your claim about “Obama counties” getting more money bogus? (Answer …. evade! evade! evade!)
  • Only 10% of stimulus “3.0” is out on the street so how do you really know how it will work? Now tell us how it won’t work.
  • Snarking out on “faith based.”
  • Tell us how it really works with Acorn… (answer: Well, not really an issue there if you look like facts but I’ll keep lying about it anyway)
  • Your idea of auditing the Fed will ruin everything. (Answer: Whoa… hard to characterize how dumb that was.)

And I’m still sayin’ it, and I’m going to continue to deny I’m sayin’ it, and I’m going to keep sayin’ it, and Joe the Plumber, the liberals, I was trapped, they gotta do their job and vet the liberal views in congress, and that’s that’s what I was getting at….

Michele Bachmann: Unpatriotic Lawbreaker

Michele Bachmann has publically vowed to refuse to answer any of the questions aside from the number of people in her household for the upcoming census. This could land her a 5K fine.

Bachmann is avoiding the census because Acorn may be involved in recruiting people for the process. It is well known that anything Acorn touches becomes socialistic and Democratic.
