Is it Christian Scientists who don’t believe in any medical intervention at all? Whenever I read/hear about the bills “protecting” pharmacists against having to dispense contraception or Plan B, I fantasize about going to pharmacy school and getting my degree, then converting to Christian Science or maybe one of those sects that does the snake-bite thing. And then whenever someone comes to my pharmacy to pick up a prescription, I’ll say “I’m sorry, it’s against my religion to give you that. Would you like me to pray with you instead? I’m sure it will totally work!” Or maybe just hand them a viper in a bag instead of the heart medication they were expecting.
I suppose my point would be lost on the Religious Right.
