  1. The lack of concern from the right about gaetz isn’t surprising: republicans have been dismissive of women’s rights and sexual assault (their message is that it’s always the fault of the woman) for years. The fact that none of them (including the clowns who posted here defending trump) were concerned about trump’s admitted history of sexual assault shows they won’t care about this.

Just look at their chickenshit actions of refusing to put their names down for the vote to remove liz cheney to see the latest example of their lack of integrity and spine.

    1. No, it isn’t surprising. This is what the erstwhile “party of personal responsibility and family values” has sunk to.

Regarding Gaetz, and with all due respect to the late Sam Cooke, I’ll paraphrase a hit song of his (Cooke’s):

She was only 16, only 16,
      With eyes that would glow.
But she was too young to fall in love
And I was too dumb to care.

I know: it doesn’t rhyme either. The original:

    2. Jeffery Epstein was a favorite DEMOCRATIC fundraiser.

Why didn’t Democrats believe Juanita Broaddrick? Because Democrats are fucking hypocrite pieces of shit.

  2. I’ll add: This sort of thing is part of the version of the “American Dream” that people on the right believe in.

    1. dean, that link has gone dark, however:

      https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/21/us/politics/anthony-bouchard-14-year-old.html

Anthony Bouchard, made the disclosure in a Facebook Live video posted on Thursday and in a subsequent interview with The Casper Star-Tribune, saying that the girl gave birth to a son “more than 40 years ago” in Florida and that he married the girl after she turned 15.

She died by suicide a few years later, after they had divorced and she had entered another relationship, Mr. Bouchard said.

He married her but then she committed suicide so that’s OK then, nothing to do with him.

Maybe this gun rights activist should use his ‘septic system cleaning business’ to clean out his brain.

  3. Christopher, I get this message at that link:

    1. Oh, I see. That’s a bit different than “gone dark” in my opinion.

  4. Anyone who supports a scuzzball like Ron DeSantis for President in 2024 is in serious need of medical attention. Few politicians are as slimy as DeSantis. Naming one’s Blog handle after him is even more disturbing.
