Well, tonight we had a modest little party at the lake to celebrate Amanda’s completion of the last requirement of her Master of Biological Science Degree. This is what teachers call a “content area” degree. In other words, it is not an education degree, but a degree in the actual real world content, in this case, biology (as the name of the degree strongly implies). This is a fairly impressive thing for a teacher to do, and she did a good job of it.
Ah, I remember well, that on our very first date we talked about the idea of her getting this degree, and I encouraged her to do it. (You know about that first date if you read this … )
I’m sure some of her “capstone” research was secret, so I can’t tell you much about it, but it has to do with combining body parts of different species to achieve some sort of interesting effect and then make graphs of it. The ultimate outcome will be to stop aging and cure disease and stuff.
So, CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA!!!!!!
See, Amanda, I told you you didn’t need luck. 🙂 Congratulations!
(There seems to still be some left in this glass)
L’chiam, Amanda!
Yes, well earned and well deserved! Mazel Tov’s and Huzzah’s!
A Masters is a significant accomplishment.
CONGRATS Amanda!!
I have a daughter in grad school myself. Not science like her father though- Shakespeare!
Amanda got a Masters degree in Mr. Potato Head?
😛
Congrats!
Congratulations! So is there any hope of me growing as many arms as Shiva? I never have enough arms for my work.
Amanda, now that you’ve got more of the same, your next goal is to get it piled higher and deeper. Good luck.
Amanda, when you combine body parts from different species; please be careful not to take the brain from “Abby Normal.” Instead of stopping aging you will get “Fire Bad!”
Congratulations!
Congratulations Amanda! I hope you cure aging before I start to show more grey hairs…
