Greg, what would you opine about Maclatchie’s review of Dawkins’s ” The Greatest Show on Earth” @ Always have a Reason coming from Christian ApologeticsUK should you read it? .He mentions the Explosion and Lucy.

I haven’t read it. We are the third chimp, of course, but chimps are the second gorilla!
I found the video soundtrack too unpleasant for comfortable viewing, so I only watched to 14 mins.
It did occur to me that it’s important to bear in mind that these days when anyone who expresses an unpopular opinion in the US about the climate, evolution or religion is likely to find themselves on the receiving end of hate-mail and death-threats, so it’s possible that some of the contestants may have framed their answers accordingly. I was surprised that so many expressed the view that teaching evolution was OK. I expected much less support.
As I understand it, religion and ID / creationism shouldn’t be taught in US schools. (but I’m from the UK and haven’t studied the minutiae of State versus Federal rulings)
