Bringing Science to Kids with Song

Money Harper is a musician who has put to song several actual research projects of University of Oklahoma scientists. He’s raising money to finish the project. Maybe you can help him out. Either way, it is an interesting story, and I’m sure you are going to want a copy of the CD.

My old friend Dan Bewley, of The News On 6, had produced a news piece on the story. Here’s the text of the story, and here’s the video:

Check out the story and follow the link to Monty Harper’s web site.

  1. Also, Monty is putting on a concert in OKC on Sunday! For all you secular parents out there wanting a fun educational thing to do this weekend (and it should be cooler outside too!).

    Sunday, August 15, 11 am
    Hafer Park
    1034 South Bryant
    Edmond, OK 73034

Under the blue overhang in the center of the park between the spray ground and playgrounds!!

  2. His is is a neat project that needs help. Please go to the web site and contribute what you can – any amount will help. Monty is 2/3 there, but the deadline is getting very close. Distribution of the CD’s to schools, etc., may well be a big help in getting kids interested in science. This is a place to make a real contribution to science education.
