I’ve never read Terry Goodkind’s books. I’ve heard he is a very good writer, but also, politically on the iffy side. But a lot of people like his books, and they seem to fit with a signfiicant subset of readers of this blog. So, I’m here to tell you that a whopping load of Goodkind’s work is now available, temporarily, on Kindle, cheap. Now’s your chance!
The ones I know about:
Warheart: Sword of Truth – The Conclusion (Richard and Kahlan)
Severed Souls: A Richard and Kahlan Novel (Sword of Truth Book 14)
The Third Kingdom: Sword of Truth – A Richard and Kahlan Novel
The First Confessor: The Legend of Magda Searus
Phantom (Sword of Truth Book 10)
The Omen Machine: Sword of Truth – A Richard and Kahlan Novel
Faith of the Fallen: A Sword of Truth Novel
Confessor (Sword of Truth Book 11)
The Pillars of Creation (Sword of Truth Book 7)
Chainfire (Sword of Truth Book 9)
Debt of Bones (Sword of Truth)
Naked Empire (Sword of Truth Book 8)
“…[P]olitically on the iffy side” is putting it mildly. I started reading him many years when his first book came out, and it was an entertaining read. The entertainment waned after a couple of volumes though, and monotony, repetition, and Randian rants that were chapters-long crept in to the point that I couldn’t even make it to a dozen of his books – and I hate to leave a series unfinished.
There are other peculiarities, but I won’t go down those roads…
Torture porn to my mind.
