Actually lots of satellites kept on working perfectly, but that didn’t stop the “whirlwind of conspiracy ideation”. All the usual suspects were out in force:

That ice was already reading low greatly subdued the conspiracy ideation. Imagine If the satellite had broken when Arctic sea ice was much higher than normal…
