The 7.6 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck 120 miles east of Acapulco. There are no details yet.
UPDATE: With a bit of time passing, it is starting to look like a lot of stuff got shook-up, but there was not a lot of significant damage anywhere.

So far it seems like there’s just minor damage, things like fallen poles and broken facades. Phone service is heavily disrupted, mostly because of the overloading, and power is out in some places.
Indeed, so far this is the only damage report I’ve seen: A pedestrian bridge fell over a bus http://www.reforma.com/ciudad/articulo/650/1298689/
No one but the driver was in it, and he got out ok.
We had a pedestrian bridge do a bad thing like that in Minneapolis without an earthquake!
