Even Democrats in Louisiana are, well, not very well informed or progressive.
As an afterthought in a story about a state assembly election debate, we discover that Democart Roshell Jones does not understand the case law relevant to teaching science, and Democrat Vincent Pierre knows even less:
…a moderator asked about the Louisiana Science Education Act, which allows public schools to teach creationism on a level comparable to evolution.
While Pierre said he could not answer the question because he was “not sure what the particular legislation entails,” Jones said she sees “no harm in creationism being taught in our public schools.”
It occurs to me that fewer and fewer states are fit for human habitation.
Interesting idea: A “Class M” State.
I’m from Louisiana, and I can confirm that we never were all that smart.
There are plenty of smart people in Louisiana. They just leave as soon as possible.
