Or is it just that she does whatever Mistress Bachmann tells her to do?
My friend Aseem recently said to me that John McCain may be the USA’s greatest villain for unleashing Sarah Palin. My response: Perhaps, and Michele Bachmann is a great villian for leashing Sarah Palin.
I do find it interesting that Palin gets so much press for what she says and does, but the truth is, Minnesota’s Michele Bachmann, not Sarah Palin, formed the Tea Party, and many of the moves we see Palin pull off are copycat acts following similar moves by Bachmann. It was Bachmann who attacked Michelle “Knows how to spell her name” Obama’s support of nursing for health and well being, claiming that breast feeding was some sort of communist plot cooked up by our Mossleman President from Indonesia (or whatever). And now Palin is following Bachmann’s lead of linking “government being the answer to ever problem” with babes suckling their mother’s breasts.
What Michelle Obama actually did, by the way, is this:
Michelle Obama, who is overseeing an East Wing campaign to promote exercise and healthy eating among children, said last week that infants who are breast-fed longer “have a lower tendency to be obese” as they grow up, a claim supported by medical studies.
So, why are Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin against health? Oh, right… they’re Republicans.
Watch Bill Maher explain to the teabaggers how Michelle Obama wanting child obesity to reduce is not her being Stalin. http://www.politicususa.com/en/bill-maher-michelle-obama
So seemingly, Palin responded to Michelle Obama’s quest to reduce child obesity by distributing sugar cookies to school students. She is now going to put her foot down and defy everything that comes from the Democrats. If Michelle Obama says regular bowel movement is good for health, Palin will constipate herself to death. If she appeals to kids to not litter the streets, Palin will take a dump in public just to spite her (probably from a helicopter).
Greg, I read all of Sarah’s comments and could find nothing about her being against health. In fact, I couldn’t find anything about anybody being against health…except your concluding sentence.
What I did find is this by Palin:
I don’t even see the word “health,” just “economic.”
So? Another of your strawmen?
Very interesting. One the one hand, Sarah Palin hates lactation, on the other hand it seems likely that a spy from a REPTILOID ALIEN RACE could be made, through plastic surgery, to look like an Earth female – but could probably not produce breast milk! And on the THIRD hand, the so-called ‘birth certificate’ Palin submitted to the FEC, there was no specific mention at all of THE PLANET SHE WAS BORN ON! Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
What about a link to whatever it is Palin said or did? I understand not wanting to link to coverage of Palin or Bachmann. But if you’re going to poke fun at it, the rest of us need to know what you’re poking fun at.
ooops, forgot the link. It’s there now.
Palin now:
Palin in 2007.
What’s happened to make Sarah change her tune?

Nothing.
She didn’t say anything about breatfeeding.
Palin was referring to economics and the price of food; she said NOTHING either way about breastfeeding. She spoke solely about government interference and the economy.
It’s really not hard to understand unless you want to misunderstand in the interests of open-mindedness, civility, and cooperation. [Assume green font for sarcasm.]
It’s not that Bachman and Palin are against healt, they’re just against anything attached to the name “Obama”. Michelle Obama could say that grass is green and those two would immediately start screeching that the federal government was planning to defoliate all of Kentucky.
Little common sense, do you read? Palin said Obama talked about breastfeeding for economic reasons–in other words, not because she’s promoting children’s health. Was it a throwaway line? Sure. But it is what she said.

Okay, Stephanie. If you get that out of Palin’s words, it goes a long way towards explaining your beliefs and attitudes.
See, Stephanie, the opposite of what you say is true.
Obama was talking about childhood obesity.
Palin was talking about economics.
Even CNN understood, and they rarely get anything right.

So your misunderstanding isn’t that unusual. Typical really.
Sarah’s envy and obsessive jealousy of Michelle Obama is beyond pathetic! She feels that she should be in the WH, not MO. How sad! This harridan displays her resentful mean-spirited, vindictiveness every day. She is like a narcissistic 2 yo, throwing a tantrum every time MO says something.
But her days are numbered as so many polls are showing. The only reason she would run is to feed her addictive need to keep her name in the media. And she really does NOT want to be Pres. If she hated being the Gov. of a tiny state, how could she like being POTUS -HA!!,
But her nomination will be just like “that bridge to nowhere”! As will the last of her intellectually-challenged followers.
Little common sense, “No wonder, given these circumstances” means that without these circumstances, there is wonder. Thus, the given reason isn’t sufficient to explain what’s going on–talking about breastfeeding as a health measure is not worthwhile in itself. This is really not very hard.
Did Palin mean it? Probably not, which is why I called it a throwaway line, and which is why CNN, bet hedgers that they are, said what they said. Doesn’t mean she won’t say it. Doesn’t mean that her saying it won’t undermine an important health message, because there are thousands upon thousands of people who will only dimly grasp that she’s told them Obama is up to something.
Leadership, which she claims to offer, involves taking some responsibility for the people who blindly follow you, as well as those who parse what you say based on what you probably mean. Palin would rather just make a joke then talk about how persecuted she is when its likely effects are pointed out to her.
Steph,
Your last post shows great imagination, but little reading ability.
