“It’s standard operating procedure” to pay bloggers for favorable coverage, says one Republican campaign operative. A GOP blogger-for-hire estimates that “at least half the bloggers that are out there” on the Republican side “are getting remuneration in some way beyond ad sales.”

If you want to have one of those big money blogs you’re going to be expect to blog from your hospital bed.
Michael Brodkorb, now the deputy chair of the Minnesota Republican Party was handsomely paid as a blogger; it is unclear whether or not he was paid as the “anonymous” blogger of Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
@ppb – if I remember correctly, Greg did blog from his hospital bed, a few months ago, when he shattered his knee.
