In their own words …
They call themselves Teabaggers, but really, they are nothing other than Republicans. Out of the box, run of the mill, nothing special Republicans.
You might think that these conversations are cherry picked, a rare set of unusual views held by a small number of the people at this rally.
I spent hours on the telephone last election speaking to randomly chosen voters in a high-SES Republican district in Minnesota. A minority of people with whom I spoke were pretty serious Democrats supporting the Democratic slate. The rest of the people with whom I spoke with Republicans.
Every single one of the Republicans sounded pretty much like the people on this video, more or less. Generally, more.
The local candidate I was calling for was not white. That was a major concern of many of the Republicans. They were also concerned about his position on gun control. I would often hear this:
“What is his position on gun control.”
And my answer would be, “I’m not sure. But since he’s a career Marine he’s probably a pretty good shot.”
Damn. I didn’t get very far into that before I couldn’t stand to watch any more.
Sometimes I think there are two separate species of humans.
“Sometimes I think there are two separate species of humans.”
Agreed. I similarly cannot listen to Democratic moonbats. And you know what? It’s good that this country is a federation. You guys can have New Jersey and Oregon, we can have Nebraska and Texas, and everyone is (reasonably) happy. Diversity, my friend!
Jeezus motherfucking christ! Who the fuck is that Lord Monckton fuckshit? Some kind of French motherfucker?
I really really hope that Victoria Jackson is trying to pull off an Andy Kaufmann (sp?) type of hoax!
That’s actually a very good answer to that question. How they take it, who knows?
As usual, the uneducated who have been brainwashed with Fascist slogans do not even understand the issues. The spew nonsense heard from talking nut cases from Fox news. There was about 10% of facts in what these ugly Republican teabaggers said.
Unsurprisingly, Teabaggers are as bad at explaining themselves as they are at explaining anything else – in fact I think their inability to clearly identify and articulate the root of their sense of disenfranchisement is one of the major sources of their anger. Their claim not to be racists, for example, seems to hinge, for many of them, on a subtle (and artificial) distinction between being uncomfortable with a black president and being uncomfortable with the social change that allowed a black man to be elected president – if they could just formulate that in a way that sounds halfway plausible, they’d be considerably less embarrassed with themselves.
Vast Right Wing Conspiracy @ #3:
Listen, I’m all for getting rid of flyover country, but only if it’s done in a way that actually, physically removes it (think “artificially created subduction zone”). After all, just giving it sovereignty wouldn’t actually reduces flight times between the coasts.

Phillip IV, for a moment there I thought you were talking about making a great inland sea (or, more correctly, expanding our existing great inlands sea) which would give us more coast.
You’re not talking about The Great Nebraska Sea, are you?
CPP, Awesome “fuck” factor. Dude, 20% of your words contained it somewhere! Your talent is humbling.
