I wanted to know about Iran, and she told me. I was curious, because I had a feeling that there was more to the story than we were getting from the news. There had to be reasons that the students were rebelling against the Shah and pushing for an Islamic Revolution. She explained it to me, and at last I felt like I understood….

I have a story . one mother says sheâ??s aware something is very wrong, but she doesnâ??t want to hear about it because she just wants to â??be with her children and see them grow up happy.â? I tell her , â??But, if we donâ??t stop this, your children may not get to grow up at all.â? so basically, sheâ??s using her kids as an excuse for her own inability to face reality.
The Iranian people deserve to be free to choose their lives. We are free to choose to help, and we should.
