OK, that’s all funny and everything, but I’m very disappointed in both the producers of this piece and in some of the attitudes associated with it.

First, where the hell is Michele Bachmann? Michele produces a “Greatest Moment” every time she opens her mouth! Has Bachmann’s ever flowing river of crazy become the new normal, so that it isn’t even noticed by political satirists anymore? That, my friends, is exactly what I warned about when she first started running. Well, I said that mainly in my own head, but I’m sure you figured it out too. Bedtime for Bonzo isn’t just a think you say when it is bed time. Its a movie starring the man considered by the majority of Americans to be the greatest president who ever existed in the United States of America.

The second thing that is somewhat disappointing is, of course, the polarization. The woman commenting on Gingrich’s child labor remark expressed my feelings exactly. Gingrich’s suggestion to enslave the poor children of the inner cities to clean toilets is a bad idea, but one that can be transformed into a good one. A youth jobs program is a great idea. They used to be more common, and have often been part economic stimulus. But not like Gingrich says. More like the lady in the video says.

On Friday’s edition of her MSNBC program Rachel Maddow highlighted a variety of right-wing extremist activities on gun related issues, including National Rifle Association (NRA) executive vice-president Wayne LaPierre’s increasingly infamous suggestion that because President Obama hasn’t pursued gun control he must be secretly plotting to “erase the Second Amendment.”

Fools! Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!! He’s prolly right! I understand Obama has a special eraser just for old parchment!!!!!!

But you knew that. What you didn’t know and never suspected is that 15% of Fox News Viewers believe that George Washington defeated King George of England in a duel. Also, 70 percent believe that President Obama was born in Keny, and 38% believe that he was born in Indonesia, which means that -8% believe that he was born in the US.

And then, then it says “100% of Fox News viewers said they wouldn’t care if the entire country fell apart as long as Barack Obama isn’t elected to a second term.”

Oh wait, wait, this is satire. It’s not real…

The bottom line is this: When asked, in reference to evaluating relevant policy and science and stuff, if you “need any more information” to make an informed choice, the teabaggers say “no” in the majority, while other groups, even Republicans, are much more likely to desire to know more.
