This mess of clouds and storms with a strong but now well organized low pressure system is unlikely to become a named storm over the next couple of days, but keep an eye on it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/472\/files\/2012\/04\/i-a4bc171357127712586e6e6a2c0f1b7d-bib_blob_in_northwesterncaribbean.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/472\/files\/2012\/04\/i-02f4f8eecae364d9702e0b740bf8aa02-bib_blob_in_northwesterncaribbean-thumb-300x128-56265.jpg?w=604\" alt=\"i-02f4f8eecae364d9702e0b740bf8aa02-bib_blob_in_northwesterncaribbean-thumb-300x128-56265.jpg\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Oddly, it is likely to move north or northeast, which will keep it over water (rather than running across southern Mexico\/Honduras\/Belize) but also pushing it towards cooler water and more wind shear.  So maybe that blob is Nicole, maybe not.<\/p>\n<p>A well organized suspicious looking blog too far north yet strangely interesting can be seen in this satellite image:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/472\/files\/2012\/04\/i-d6c68b494c043e65bbc402b7031e3099-tiny_blob.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/472\/files\/2012\/04\/i-422d287786025079f8ef121045637456-tiny_blob-thumb-500x214-56268.jpg?w=604\" alt=\"i-422d287786025079f8ef121045637456-tiny_blob-thumb-500x214-56268.jpg\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is what is left of Julia.  Julia is moving westward towards warmer water.  Most storms end up blowing north and dissipating.  When they don&#8217;t do that they become a bit unpredictable.
