The vote was not a surprise to conservative groups, who told activists to be ready to fight the bill on the floor of the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Focus on the Family\u2019s political arm CitizenLink blasted the \u201cironically labeled the \u2018Respect for Marriage Act\u2019\u201d and the Thomas More Society warned of the \u201cgreat legal problems, great confusion\u201d and the \u201cactual human beings who will be hurt\u201d if DOMA is no more.<\/p>\n<p>Family Research Council president Tony Perkins told activists that if the Respect for Marriage Act passes&#8230;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What?
