Vote for gay marriage. Legislate and agitate.<\/p>\n<p>There are two related events currently happening in two different states. <\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/05\/09\/us\/north-carolina-votes-on-same-sex-marriage-amendment.html\">North Carolina:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>North Carolina\u2019s voters went to the polls on Tuesday to decide whether the state would become the 31st in the country, and the last in the South, to have a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lgbtqnation.com\/2012\/05\/all-eyes-on-colorado-civil-unions-north-carolina-marriage-vote\/\">Colorado<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Civil unions are close to passing in Colorado, but there\u2019s only a few days left before the legislature adjourns. We\u2019re getting down to the wire on Amendment One in North Carolina. The Prop 8 play is getting new legs as an audiobook. And the guys behind \u201cWe Are Young\u201d have some strong words for marriage equality.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Watch this (you will cry), then get off your ass and do something.<sup>*<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"284\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pR9gyloyOjM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here in Minnesota, the Republicans, unable to use the democratic process to attack gays who would marry, have put a constitutional amendment on the ballot for November.   This November, <a href=\"http:\/\/mnunited.org\/\">we intend to defeat that amendment<\/a> and to take back the state legislature.
