{"id":5089,"date":"2012-02-21T16:40:53","date_gmt":"2012-02-21T22:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/freethoughtblogs.com\/xblog\/?p=2461"},"modified":"2012-02-21T16:40:53","modified_gmt":"2012-02-21T22:40:53","slug":"bring-your-gun-to-the-florida-state-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gregladen.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/21\/bring-your-gun-to-the-florida-state-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Bring Your Gun to the Florida State Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First of all, how the heck to you have a State Fair in the middle of the winter time????<\/p>\n<p>Second, &#8230; in case you needed to know, you can carry your firearms at the fair this year!  <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.tbo.com\/news\/politics\/2012\/feb\/15\/2\/you-can-now-pack-heat-at-the-state-fair-ar-358920\/\">Yahooo<\/a>!  <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Following complaints by a gun rights group, and a law passed by the Florida Legislature last year, you can now carry your gun at the Florida State Fair.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have changed the policy to comply with the state law \u2013 it allows a person with a concealed weapon permit to come in with a firearm,&#8221; said Charles Pesano, executive director of the State Fair Authority. &#8220;We&#8217;ve changed some signs to reflect that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Instead of &#8220;No Weapons,&#8221; the signs now say, &#8220;No Unlawful Weapons.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Film at 11.
