I personally believe that the only valid voting technique is filled-in paper ballots which are initially read my machines, results audited, and if necessary, hand counted.  I do think that the paper ballots could be produced by a machine.  You go up to the machine, pick your choices on a touch screen, etc. etc. and then the ballot is printed out. You then submit the ballot in the usual way.  The advantages of this would be: a) The <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/2010\/12\/so_hows_the_minnesota_recount.php\">lizard people<\/a> effect does not happen and b) there is an instant preliminary count that might be more accurate than counting machines.<\/p>\n<p>You do all realize that this is a conspiracy to end democracy as we know it, right?  <\/p>\n<p>Hat Tip: Ana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>But right now, they&#8217;re doing it rong!!!
