There are nearly thirty books being made into movies this year, maybe more. I’ve picked out a couple to try to read before the movie comes out. Not that I’m ever going to actually see the movies, I never see movies, but anyway … <\/p>\n

Pet Sematary<\/a>\"\" is already a movie, based on the novel of the same name<\/a>\"\". But now there is another one coming out, staring Jason Clarke, Amy Siemetz, and John Lithgow.<\/p>\n

And that’s not it. It<\/a>\"\" by King is also going to be a moive called “It: Chapter Two”<\/p>\n

The Turn of the Screw and Other Ghost Stories (Penguin Classics)<\/a>\"\" by Henry James<\/p>\n

In “The Turn of the Screw,” one of the most famous ghost stories of all time, a governess becomes obsessed with the belief that malevolent forces are stalking the children in her care. It is accompanied here by several more of the very best of Henry James’s short stories, all exploring ghosts and the uncanny.<\/em><\/p>\n

The movie will be called The Turning<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Alcott’s Little Women: 150th Anniversary Edition<\/a>\"\", already read it, but will read it again. The film will have Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, and Saoirse Ronan.<\/p>\n

The Artemis Fowl<\/a>\"\" series’ first and second book form the basis of a movie directed by Kenneth Branagh.<\/p>\n

The Good Shepherd<\/a>\"\" by C.S. Forester.<\/p>\n

This is a war story set at sea. It will be made into the movie Greyhound<\/em> starring Tom Hanks.<\/p>\n

Honorable mention (I will probably not get around to reading):<\/p>\n

The Goldfinch<\/a>\"\" by Donna Tartt.<\/p>\n
