A faux committee comprised of nincompoops and creationists has approved the degree at the first stage, and it is now being considered by the Texas higher education commission.  <a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/2007\/12\/the_icr_masters_of_creation_re.php\">(Details here)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upi.com\/NewsTrack\/Top_News\/2008\/01\/10\/texas_official_call_it_creationism_degree\/1799\/\">report<\/a> indicates that the Texas Commissioner of Higher Education has chimed in on the suggestion that this degree simply be called a &#8220;degree in creation studies.&#8221;  Interesting solution.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, one of the sticking points for approval of this degree is that the program would only be open to a certain class of students, which may create problems at the level of government approval.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The program is open only to students who believe that God created the universe in six days and that those who deny Jesus Christ face eternal damnation, &#8230;. Adultery, homosexuality and fornication are banned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Can you do that with an online degree?
