{"id":13364,"date":"2012-09-10T14:55:31","date_gmt":"2012-09-10T19:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/gregladen\/?p=13364"},"modified":"2012-09-10T14:55:31","modified_gmt":"2012-09-10T19:55:31","slug":"which-american-political-party-is-more-violent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gregladen.com\/blog\/2012\/09\/10\/which-american-political-party-is-more-violent\/","title":{"rendered":"Which American Political Party is More Violent?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A while ago, I wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/gregladen.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/who-is-to-blame-for-politically-shaded-shootings\/\">Who is to blame for politically shaded shootings? <\/a>in which I made this rather extreme statement which was only weakly opposed by any commenters:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Generally speaking these days, progressive movements and for the most part the \u201cleft\u201d in America speaks out against violence, is more or less either anti-gun or pro gun regulation, mostly anti-war, and mostly pacifist, while the right wing tends to form heavily armed paramilitary militias, is totally against almost any kind of gun related regulations, is pro war, and bellicose. So when someone from the right shoots someone on the left, it really is a natural extension of what they talk about.
