Modifications made to the ecosystem of the Gulf of Mexico have had several important improvements. Much of the pesky coral living at the bottom of the gulf seems to have been <a href=\"http:\/\/news.discovery.com\/earth\/bp-oil-spill-damage-to-corals-120328.html\">doused with deadly doses<\/a> of BP oil, some species have been provided with hip new color schemes (mainly black and blackish), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/indepth\/features\/2012\/04\/201241682318260912.html\">some shrimp are now eyeless<\/a>, which will surely make them easier to catch and, according to BP, does not affect their edibility, the killifish are being killed, which is presumably what they want (given their name and all) and those snippy crabs that we all love to make into crabcakes and such are <a href=\"http:\/\/news.discovery.com\/earth\/mutant-shrimp-swim-the-gulf-two-years-after-bp-spill-120419.html\">now frequently claw-less,<\/a> and thus less likely to pinch us!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a short video clip outlining the many improvements to the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem that BP has given us:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"284\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_VVyPiV5xdY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A special thanks to BP on this fine Earth Day.
