Also in the Irish HIlls area of MI, one of the more scenic regions of the lower peninsula. MSU has a very nice facility, Hidden Lake Gardens, not far from there.

But to the seriousness of what happened: our local news, usually fairly reliable, stated that Daunte Wright was pulled over because police saw air fresheners hanging from his rear view mirror, which is illegal in Minnesota.

a) HTF could they see air fresheners in a car? What time of day was it?
b) Is that really illegal, or simply a smoke screen put out to get police ahead of the story
c) (Just, if not more important than the other two questions): If it truly is illegal, how many stops are made overall for this reason?

This, with the shit that happened in Virginia (where, luckily, the soldier stopped while Black wasn’t killed), clearly shows people in authority haven’t learned jack shit.
