I feel like the director got the ending wrong. It seems like the girl is actually HIM! He unwittingly went to his own house to be saved but he was a no good drug dealing killer and he found himself on the other end of the situation this time. The girl should have read the last lines as “and I’M a drug dealer. And shootouts? Shootouts ARE fun.” With emphasis on the all caps words. As if to let him know that she is him before he dies.
