In other words, when it comes to skull shape, the changes normal in primates such as gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans do not occur or are drastically retarded.  If I remember correctly, this is called neoteny by biologists.  That is one reason that evolutionary biologists are interested in early development.]]></description>
