And today brings news that should be astounding to people who are aware of how totally out of control big university football programs have become: Ohio State (again) have put Urban Meyer on leave as they investigate whether he knew, and if so how much he knew, about domestic violence allegations against a former assistant. With summer practice just about to start, with Meyer OSU’s highest paid
employee, and the “importance” of football to the school, this is amazing, regardless of how the investigation ends up. Either

> University officials are over-reacting because they are already dealing with a flood of accusations against Jordan, or
> They have some information that hasn’t been made public that supports the allegation that Meyer knew and didn’t say anything (which his contract and other guidelines required him to do), or
> Neither of the first two things is true and they simply decided to do the correct thing and carry out a complete investigation

Yes, it is sad when people put a “football legend” on a pedestal so high they won’t hold him accountable for ignoring child abuse by one of his aids. Paterno deserved all the blame he received.

The only accusations to be made against the wrestlers will be by the Left, as they are all defending Jordan.

MikeN, Jordan’s accusers have been wrestlers saying he knew about the actions of the doctor — several of them have stated they told him and he shrugged them off. Nobody is accusing him of engaging in abuse, only that he knew and did nothing. The “only the left is accusing him” is pure bullshit.
