I’ve read a couple of Hiaasen’s earlier books but never felt the urge to read them all. I’d certainly recommend reading one or two to see if you like the style and the view of life they portray.

Floridian and columnist Dave Barry wrote a couple of hilarious (at least in my opinion) crime novels: “Big Trouble” and “Tricky Business” which not only laugh but laugh out loud — which I almost never do while reading.

Just read Nature Girl. My daughter Kate loved Hoot when she was little. Perfect reading when you want something sort of light with great characters.
