I’d like to think there is a limit but I’ve been wrong overestimating the general public before.

Trump’s rending of the fabric of normalcy and civility continues unchecked. What is he going to hit to that will finally stop him?

Yes, pretty much. Though the president and the plants in the crowd didn’t know that Obama had been invited before.

They wouldn’t invite R. Kelly or Kid Rock, nor (I hope) would say, the Louisiana troops invite David Duke (when he was a state rep). Is there anyone at the wheel, here?

As a mother,I encourage you to encourage your kids to join Scouting and 4-H. They are great skill and citizenship-building organizations in addition to being fun! Speaking from experience, I would say that throughout their entire lives they will use information and skills they learned in Scouting or 4-H and remember that organization and their leaders with gratitude.

Attend meetings with them and volunteer to help, perhaps even be a leader or assistant leader. You have so much knowledge and experience to contribute. You would be a fantastic Scout or 4-H leader.

And having written this, I realize I’m not speaking simply to Greg, but to all the engaged, concerned, scientists who read his blog. How greatly the youth of our country would benefit if more scientists were engaged in these organizations!

The values transmitted to the kids are only as good as the leaders, and I’ll bet there are a lot of leaders today who are still trying to explain and offset that tirade the children were subjected to.

Go to Russia and help them refill their salt mines.

I’m thinking that a Trump supporter would actually LIKE their children to be chucked off their insurance if it saved them a buck.

Whether their children realise this yet or not is another matter….

His supporters are not rational people.
