No he shouldn’t have gotten credit. What I am implying is that Trump is making this statement in hopes of getting credit himself for something that will happen decades from now.

#1: Are you implying that Nixon should have gotten credit for the Moon landing? The only reason that I can think of for that is because he didn’t cut the program. But then, neither did Johnson. It seems to me that Kennedy rightly deserves credit for initiating the program and from then on NASA should get any credit for its successes.

When I saw his teleconference with the astronauts, I thought: What gall! Rushing such a dangerous mission so that it can happen on his watch! He has no idea of complexity. This should not be a surprise. And of course no concern about the value of human life.
