And believing you have it and it works means you stop looking to see if you’re fooling yourself.

The prime directive and purpose of the scientific method is to do away with the obedience to common sense and just follow what you get, then test to see if you’re still fooling yourself.

And this lack of testing or skepticism on the practitioners and proponents of such woo are not scientists.

“Because it makes sense” is why the earth is, to an unfortunate number, still fact.

Actually testing it to see if they’re right is avoided. Or post-hoc explained away as either conspiracy or accountable anyway.

Too often the invocation of common sense as a means of denial or attack is being used on false grounds. It than functions as a brake for the free exchange of information. As a matter of fact the mentioned prediction to Kees de Haar, medium, of 2005 about future storms of 25 Beaufort plus appeared to be a right prediction in 2017. Yes, indeed Greg, hurricane Debby Darwin Australia, March 2017 is quite a storm plus 25 Beaufort. The predictions given to Kees de Haar in 1984-2005 will rouse more storm than nations can swallow. We are not talking about a storm in a glass of water, which can be easily put aside. Make your breasts wet. We live in exiting years. Laren NH, Wednesday 29 March 2017, 22.42 PM DT.

I actually contacted the author to check on the most recent year back then, and the pattern holds. The reason the graph does not contain the data, though, is not because of a convenient omission, but because my time machine was broken that day.
