In his eyes, he is in constant danger that can only be quelled by carrying a gun, and he is sure that at every turn, the government is ready to disarm him and all of his fellow patriots, and the only American thing to do is to arm yourself even heavier.
Deep down, he is really a nice person (even though it might seem contrary), but after years of being brainwashed by right wing pundits, and by refusing to engage in critical thinking skills, he has brought himself (and possibly others) to a precipice of potential danger that I hope that he never steps over. Very concerning to say the least.
