Although cell phones do emit a concerning amount of electromagnetic radio frequency waves cellular devices to not emit a high enough amount of energy to cause cancer. Therefore, cell phones being a cause of cancer is not what should be assumed because of these known facts. Cell phones can in fact cause minor health issues and in extreme cases different types of brain tumors, but there are no fact and evidence based cases that cell phones have indeed been the cause of cancer within an individual. As the use of cell phones has increased, there are no known statistics showing that with the cell phone usage going up cancer has gone up in proportion with it. When people see the word “radiation” they often automatically become scared, but the microwaves and lights that individuals have in their home give off radiation as well so no need to fret when seeing the word radiation. I believe that people should be warned of the possible dangers that cell phones involve and the health issues they can cause, but all things come warning labels and specifications these days. If the topic of cell phones causing cancer is something that you’re concerned about, put and end to that worry by not using cell phones or cutting back on the amount in which you use your cellular device.

It's always primary brain cancers, isn't it? It's never skin cancers of the head and neck. It's never cancers of the external ear or external auditory canal. It's never benign of malignant tumors of the middle or inner ear. Or the cartilage of the ear. Or the skull.
The brain cancer issue could be put to rest very easily: Ask patients which ear they prefer for cellphone conversations, _before_ they get diagnosed. Correlate with hemisphere in which tumor occurs.

If there's no relationship, there should be no correlation above chance level. Case closed, problem solved.

One question on a patient intake form is all that's needed to get the ball rolling.

The known and significant danger of "smart"phones is cybercrime including remote surveillance. A microphone, camera, GPS device, and browser, all controlled by closed software you can't see or be certain is on or off, is a target that is just begging for attack. As the scope of major identity theft cases and malware attacks increases, this issue for mobile devices will become impossible to ignore.
