It’s not just that the septics misunderstand and distort. They do so repeatedly and in very predictable ways. When coupled with the “recursive fury” we’ve also seen exhibited in the reactions to Torcello, I think a reasonable case can be made that psychopaths and sociopaths are over-represented among them.
