To Markm,
I would be very surprised if what you think is attitude is doesn't reflect reality as far as you're concerned.
Did he say that for that reason he is better than you?
When and what was your last great contribution to life on earth?
Would you also resent the fact that he also might be taller than you?

Reminds me a bit of a famous video of Richard Dawkins taking a question from an audience member which was something like "Can't you concede that there's a *tiny* chance that Science might be wrong?" And he went ballistic. He said when you use Science, airplanes fly, rockets go to the moon, computers compute, etc. "It just *works*, B!tches!"

Tyson is brilliant and has exactly the right touch for this.

I have your radio show bookmarked for listening when I have 45 minutes for it. Atheist radio on Sunday mornings, eh? That's an achievement. Though, it would not be surprising if the religious right seizes on that and uses it to attack Tyson.

Tyson making reference to cellphones was spot-on. At some point we have to start demanding that science denialists put their money & muscles where their mouths are, and give up technology. The GPS in cellphones makes use of Einsteinian relativity, and CD/DVD players make use of QM. if these dorks can't even accept thermodynamics, they have no right to make use of Einstein and QM.
