What’s in the video: Clever technique for making billboards using lenticular surfaces similar to the privacy screens used on laptops by people who fly a lot and don’t want their stuff read by randoms in the next seats. The billboard surfaces can be seen from two different angles: One that’s visible to adults, with a message along the lines of “if you’re a child abuser, you will be caught.” The other, that’s visible from the height of children but not from the height of adults, changes the image slightly to show the kid’s face with bruises, and a message along the lines of “if someone is hurting you, we’re here to help,” and a phone number in the format of European emergency services phone numbers.

Thus a kid who’s walking by with their abusive parent, will see the message about how to get help, as their abusive parent sees the message that they aren’t going to get away with it.

In my guts I want to see those Cleveland kidnappers put to death, but in my head I know that life without parole will provide a lifetime of punishment as well as protecting the public from them.

Anyone who harms a defenseless person, whether a child, elder, disabled person, or whatever, is truly the scum of the earth. They deserve to be locked up and forgotten.
