					<description><![CDATA[early stereo was magic for people brought up in a mono world.
 my Dad who was a WW2 guy bought our first one in 1960,i think,he fetched the guy next door over and they both did the same thing only with a show tunes album.
 it was like having the band right in the room.
  mt brother and i took this big record player with the fold out speakers down the block to a buddy&#039;s back yard and played sound effect records at full blast and then went around on our bikes to seen how far away we could hear it.
 i think it was more of a tipping point than TV because there was more of a choice in the time and content of real quality music than either the TV which was still mono or radio provided.]]></description>
