Part of my family actually knew him. He lived next to my grandparents in the 70s (if I recall correctly) while my grandfather was stationed at Fort Detrick(where Bruce Ivins AKA Anthrax Guy worked). He was apparently a pretty nice guy.

I assumed that that would be a reasonable source and it’s transparent. I think Laughner would count by the criteria generally used there. I assume he is not there because he’s not been convicted yet.

Also not on the list are a number of individuals who have been caught in what most would consider terrorism but perhaps the charges did not go that way due to plea bargaining. ALF/ELF kids mostly.
