There are other free math libraries as well such as the Los Alamos National Laboratory Basic Linear Algebra Set, LAPACK, and LINPACK and many other goodies from government funded research labs as well as other groups around the world. I just can&#039;t understand colleagues who waste time and money on the &quot;Numerical Recipes in FORTRAN&quot; stuff - or worse still the other incarnations of the &quot;Numerical Recipes&quot; zombie.
