No Greg, it actually does not happen often. I don't usually participate in blogs; I just sort of stumbled into this one. I was simply trying to find out what Ms Fluke had said that was causing all of the "buzz."

I do admit, however, that after hearing what she said, it got me a little wound up; but, it was only after I heard what she said, in the video, that I scrolled down to see what other videos might offer that I found out that this was a blog. I also have to admit that seeing some of the postings that followed; I did get a little fired up, if you will. It just hit me wrong in a "one-two" punch, which added up to a less than reasoned, I suppose, response. Furthermore, it was only after your reply to me this afternoon that I discovered exactly what I had stumbled into.

My first reaction was that I had fallen into a pit of "nanny state liberals" but, now I see that I had stumbled into a situation that I never expected. However, after this afternoon's revelation, as to the nature, perspective, and reality of the situation, I explored a bit more and now better understand the reason as to how and why there was such a disconnect between what I said and how I said it and what, why, and how others heard what they heard or what they thought I was saying.

I, like you, do ponder in somewhat a state of "cognizant dissonance," at least in my case, the impact and consequence of how one hears or perceives regarding nuance versus content. Looking back and considering what I have written here and what was heard, I must say that I believe that I have unwittingly demonstrated the advantage of impact that nuance holds over content.

I never intended to offend. I do, (one does) bear some responsibility as to what or how another hears.

Sincerely,

Tom Dean

What happened to all the socialistic goofballs that piped in with all of your one time “hit-n-run” opinions regarding the “nanny state” expose and demonstrations of support for Ms Fluke?

Have you no stamina? Or, were all of those "one-liners" the total depth of your intelligence? Come on now it was just getting good. I can only presume that once you found out she was a dupe for the president that you lost your fire. That's no reason to stop the dialog. Were you just passing thru to throw a few smoke bombs? Or, did you recognize that you got smoked?

Speak up. Out of thoughts? What............?

Well, Douglas & Thurston, looks like we three spoiled the "Liberal Socialist Entitlement Class Warfare Party".......

Just let a little truth and candor seep into the mutual admiration, pats on the back society conversation and the whole group takes their toys and go home. I'm really sorry to have been a part of spoiling your lib-fest people. You were all having such a good time.

I suppose (hope) you had to rethink your irrational positions now that the facts are out about Fluke being a setup. Doesn't it make you proud to know that your so loveable "pres" such an admirable fellow. It appears that he actually does possess "community organizational skills." That is a real breakthrough for me to see that he is a capable "deception(ist)!"

Well, I must go for now but, I'm having a little trouble with my research in finding an example of anywhere in the world at any time in man's 6,000 years of existence, where socialism has ever been anything more than an age-old and utter failure every time it has been imposed. Could anyone, yes, just any one of you 'gimme, gimme' contributors please, help me and give me just one example where socialism has ever been anything other than a "utopian" pipe dream failure?

Don't dismay at my temporary departure, I shall be checking in to see if you have been able to help me fill in the hole of my research for an example of a happy story of socialism's success.

So as to give you something to ponder, until I return, can anyone give me just a couple or even just one reason as to WHY God created Adam (Aramaic meaning man) but, 'made' woman, "out" of Adam? And yes, this is truth, no matter whether you are atheist or not. Truth is truth and the truth can get kicked around, run over, ignored or denied but, from before time until there is time no more but, truth will remain truth.

I believe that you will find this topic to be much more useful, educational, and edifying than any further discussion of Ms Fluke, especially now that we know she was a setup and dupe.

Sincerely,

Tom Dean

You people are perpetual victims ready to support and martyr for any cause that might make you look like heroes. Heroes for what? Free rubbers and estrogen pills? What a joke! How about having some self-control for once in your life?
