Hi, my name is Abby Maas and I was in the production of Hiding in the Open at Wayzata. This article means so much to me. Not just that you supported our high school but that you want to spread the word and inform others on the topic. It was truely a horrific time, but it is good that everyone will always remember what they had to go through. Sabina is such an inspirational women and has taught all of us so much on what love and hope can really help you achieve. Thank you again.

One can only be amazed at the steel nerves and resourcefulness of those who used their wits to survive the Holocaust. Admiration is also due the few who, either alone or as members of the resistance, had the courage to ally themselves with morality and assist people targeted by Nazi terror. The Danes, Swedes and Albanians merit special note, as do a significant number of diplomats who defied orders and sacrificed their own careers by issuing countless visas to those fleeing persecution. Wikipedia provides a â??List of individuals and groups assisting Jews during the Holocaust.â? The list contains many surprises.
