Matthew in particular.
They say to him, Caesar’s. Then said he to them, Render therefore to Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s (Matthew 22:21)

Or Mark. (12:17)
Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” And they were amazed at him.

Or Luke (20:25)
“Caesar’s,” they replied. He said to them, “Then give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

And there’s that verse in Romans too. (13:17)
Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

I would have thought a devout christian would at least have some familiarity with the word of, you know, Jesus. This supposed god dude he seems to talk about so much.
