Why is it that whenever I hear one of the republinutters talking about health care, I get reminded of the HMO & Drug company rep in the Pacemaker radio show in GTA4?

Also am I the only person who finds her voice especially irritating?

http://www.hindu.com/2008/06/30/images/2008063058440301.jpg

This is what wards look like in India (they aren't the cleanest of places. They usually smell of body fluids since patients are crammed into every available space. This is actually a very nice and calm day at this ward with all the people who normally are treated on the floor being shooed away for the day.)

This is India's attempt to treat it's 1.2 billion people with a budget that would be considered laughable by most countries. It's an amazing attempt to provide healthcare despite being so sorely outnumbered.

It's actually shocking that Bachmann would say something so utterly callous when even 3rd world nations who suffer crippling resource issues are trying to achieve a socialised medical system.
