No matter who wins it, I think it’s important to restore the distinction that it’s the Swedish Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. Or something shorter pointing out that Alfred Nobel doesn’t seem to have regarded these “sciences” as being prize worthy. Peter Nobel thinks that’s important, and two winners, Myrdal and Feidt, say it’s an illegitimate and ultimately harmful prize. Mainly because it reifies something that’s either lacking in or contradictory of observable facts and lacking in correction mechanisms as a science.
I agree. Economics is just a numeric version of politics.
