* Because “Anthropogenic Global Warming” isn’t a sufficently clear and good description in my view. ‘Anthropogenic’ is a technical “weasel word” where Human Induced is more starkly clear plus “warming” is too mild for what is happening to our planet and has too many positive pyschological associations for an issue that we need to be seriously concerned about.

That noise tended to obscure any noise that nuclear submarines made and also provided various reflective surfaces to make active sonar less effective.

If this was the 1960’s, the eventual melting of the north polar ice cap would have been taken as a serious military threat and actions would have been taken to prevent it from happening.

They don’t do North Pole sky dives any more: during summer there’s not enough sea ice cover.
