Success rates are incredible compared to 50 years ago, but it’s still a far cry from getting a dose of antibiotics for a bacterial throat infection.

@sailor: I doubt they’ll be giving PZ hallucinogenic drugs, so I think the hospital chaplain will be safe. Besides, it’s usually at least 2 weeks before someone with their chest cut open is in any shape to go chasing people with needles and even then they need some serious doses of painkillers.
