Unsurprisingly, Teabaggers are as bad at explaining themselves as they are at explaining anything else - in fact I think their inability to clearly identify and articulate the root of their sense of disenfranchisement is one of the major sources of their anger. Their claim not to be racists, for example, seems to hinge, for many of them, on a subtle (and artificial) distinction between being uncomfortable with a black president and being uncomfortable with the social change that allowed a black man to be elected president - if they could just formulate that in a way that sounds halfway plausible, they'd be considerably less embarrassed with themselves.

Vast Right Wing Conspiracy @ #3:

You guys can have New Jersey and Oregon, we can have Nebraska and Texas, and everyone is (reasonably) happy.

Listen, I'm all for getting rid of flyover country, but only if it's done in a way that actually, physically removes it (think "artificially created subduction zone"). After all, just giving it sovereignty wouldn't actually reduces flight times between the coasts.

And my answer would be, "I'm not sure. But since he's a career Marine he's probably a pretty good shot."

That's actually a very good answer to that question. How they take it, who knows?

"Sometimes I think there are two separate species of humans."

Agreed. I similarly cannot listen to Democratic moonbats. And you know what? It's good that this country is a federation. You guys can have New Jersey and Oregon, we can have Nebraska and Texas, and everyone is (reasonably) happy. Diversity, my friend!
