In 2005 I had one stent put in (while awake and watching the live video of my heart) due to a blockage from scar tissue at a bypass connection. It is inserted via catheter from the femoral artery (groin) up into the heart.

Last month I had a cardiac arrest and went into ventricular fibrillation (v fib). My wife gave me CPR and I was in the hospital 8 days including 36 hours on ice (core temp at 32F)
